About ETI “Hot Shot Trucking”
ETI (Allentown, PA) was founded in 1977 as a “hot shot trucking” delivery service to handle emergency, same day pick ups and deliveries. Our fleet consisted of 2 leased vans and our facility was in the basement of one of the owners. We had no experience in the “trucking business”, no ICC/PUC authority, no customers. What we did have was the heartfelt belief that a company who provided excellent service for a reasonable price would find success in any marketplace.

Our founders came from a purchasing background for a large manufacturing company. In dealing with hundreds of vendors daily, they realized the value of choosing reliable partners who could be counted on to help them accomplish their jobs. They set out to become that kind of partner and found a ready audience of customers who needed their service. After 45 years of partnership, the owners decided on a purchase agreement, and became a solely owned company to enhance the longevity and pursuit of the long term goals based on ETI’s continued success. Since the purchase agreement, ETI has seen continued growth and have established themselves as a premier partner in the transportation industry within the region.
We acquired ICC/PUC rights, we got our experience one day at a time, we added services based on customer requests, and we grew to become a leader in the expedited transportation field.
Hot Shot Trucking: Exclusive Transportation Today
Today we operate out of a 24,000 square foot facility in Allentown, Pa., with over 50 vehicles and 75 dedicated employees.
In addition to same day emergency shipments anywhere, we also provide air freight and ocean freight service daily to all major airports and piers in the New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia markets with service to northern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.
We are a U.S. Customs bonded carrier, FAA approved, TSA compliant and have full regulatory authority from the ICC and DOT. All of our CDL drivers are Hazmat certified. We handle shipments from 1lb to 50,000 lbs and our fleet includes vans, straight trucks, tractor trailers, temperature controlled vehicles, roller-beds, lift gates, etc. We also do short term warehousing and distribution services.
